I found the adorable blog Punky Style via Betsy over at Fashion Is Spinach and am now equally obsessed with the idea of a traveling vintage shop. Though it's miserable to be in a recession, obv, it's inspiring to see how creative vendors have become in order to entice people to shop.
I spent most of yesterday scouring 14th and U streets for great finds at the MidCity Dog Days of Summer sidewalk sales, and came home with a sweet turquoise seersucker drop-waist shirtdress from Junction, the perfect men's plaid linen button-down from the Studio Theater sale and a fantastic white enamel pendant necklace from the lovely Ann at Legendary Beast.
All up, I spent $42 and my love of treasure-hunting has been fully rekindled. And so I've decided to dedicate myself to stocking up on great vintage items (swearing off Forever 21, et al ...), with the idea of a traveling shop tucked away in the back of my mind.
